Bruce Donicht

Bruce E. Donicht, age 71, of Menomonie, WI went home to be with his heavenly Father Thursday, February 8, 2024 in the company of his wife and children.

He was born July 7th, 1952 in Menomonie, WI to Leonard Donicht and Eunice (Smith). He graduated from Menomonie High School with the class of 1970.

Bruce and his wife Kate (Kathy) Larson were high school sweethearts who took a small hiatus from their love until finally, on February 6th, 1999, they wed at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Minnesota. Together they had four children.

Bruce was a lead worker for the custodial staff at the University of Wisconsin-Stout for over thirty years, but his real passion was never inside a building. He was an avid sportsman and greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on his land appreciating the beauty of nature. He was a history buff with a passion for cooking and golfing. Bruce enjoyed raising and breeding his many prized black labs and spoiling his grandchildren endlessly.

Bruce is survived by his wife Kate of Menomonie; daughter Jodi Bauler of Waterloo, IA, son Chad (Ashley) Donicht of Austin,MN, daughter Lindsey (Rich) Stevens of Madison, and son Aaron (Miranda) Schuldt of Menomonie; 11 grandchildren. Bruce is also survived by his two brothers and best friends, Ed & Jim Donicht, both of Menomonie.

Bruce is preceded in death by his father Leonard Donicht, mother Eunice Donicht, sister-in-law Kendra Donicht, and grandson Issac Bauler.

A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at 3:00p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI. with Pastor Gary Mac Manus “Mac” officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00p.m. two hours prior to the service.
