Delma Weber Obituary (1921

Delma Rose Weber, age 90, of Boyceville, WI passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Menomonie surrounded by many family members. She was born Sept. 27, 1921 in Lucas Township in Dunn County to Joseph Fortin and Josie (Carter) Fortin. She grew up in the Miller Hill area of Knapp, WI. After attending Knapp School, she graduated from Menomonie High School in 1940. Delma married Woodrow Weber on July 5, 1941 at the United Methodist church in Knapp. Together they farmed in Sherman Township where she lived in the same house until she died 71 years later. They had seven children. Delma taught music lessons to many students for more than 30 years. Delma attended the United Methodist Church in Knapp where she was the organist, a member of the choir, and taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Senior Jammers and active in the 4H club, Annis Creek Women's Club, and the Snowmobile Club. Delma enjoyed playing several musical instruments and singing and performing with the Senior Jammers. She loved tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Delma also enjoyed socializing with family and friends and always took pleasure in a friendly game of cards. Every night Delma would recite the names of all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Joan (Lee) Kammerlohr of Quincy, IL; Gary (Christine) Weber of Chandler, AZ; Marilyn (David) Miller of Connorsville, WI; Lynda (Thomas) Huskey of Fond du Lac, WI; Charles (Kathleen) Weber of Menomonie, WI; Rick (Mary) Weber of Chandler, AZ; Mark (Diane) Weber of Maple Grove, MN; Grandchildren, Sara (Marcellus) Catalano, Steven (Amy) Weber, Amy (Bart) Bates, Allen (Markey) Miller, Dennis (Carla) Miller, Michele (Albert) Kelly, Teresa (Jeff) Cline, Lisa (Josh) Murray, Angela (John) Lewis, Jennifer (Lou) Mason, Joshua (Nicole) Weber, Tony Weber, and Jessica (Tanner) Lamberg; Step-grandchildren, Craig (Kandice) Brown, Cindy (Martha) Damian; great-grandchildren, Maximilian Catalano, Sophia Catalano, Macy Weber, Jackson Weber, Allison Weber, Thomas Weber, Hailey Bates, Tatum Bates, Brooklyn Bates, Andrew Miller, Alex Miller, Joshua (Amanda) Tireman, Robert (Dawn) Kelly, Samantha Kelly, Zachary Kelly, Amber Kelly, Nicholas (Amber) Samens, Kyle Samens, Noah Cline, Jonah Cline, Elizabeth Murray, Hannah Murray, Alayna Lewis, Noah Lewis, Ella Weber, Eli Weber; Step-great grandchildren, Jon Brown, Cassi Brown; Great great-grandchild, Hannah Tireman; one brother, John Fortin of Fremont, CA; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow; her parents; her step-father William Knight; her brother James Fortin and wife Margaret; her sister Violet Johnson and husband Ken; her sisters-in-law, Joy Fortin, Dora Brewer and husband Dale, Alice Johnson and husband Gilbert; and her brother-in-law, Norman Hanson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Knapp United Methodist Church with Pastor James Harrington officiating. Burial will take place in Teegarden Cemetery, Twp. Lucas, Dunn Co. WI. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and also one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
