EDWARD E. SORENSON

Edward E. Sorenson, age 75, of Menomonie, WI died Sunday, May 15, 2005 at Myrtle Werth Hospital/ Mayo Health Systems in Menomonie.

Ed was born November 27, 1929 in Menomonie, WI to Olaf and Myrtle (Campbell) Sorenson. He was raised in the Menomonie area and was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Menomonie.
He married Delima Grundman on January 24, 1948 also at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Ed was employed at Halvorson Bus Lines in Menomonie for 15 years. He also worked as an electrician at Sanna Dairies for 21 years. After retiring from Sanna Dairies he continued to work as caretaker for many area cemeteries and as custodian at Christ Lutheran Church, where he took great pride in his work.

Ed was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He loved camping and fishing and he also enjoyed coffee and conversation at the John Deere Shop and Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two infant great-grandchildren, Caleb and Emma Sue Leach.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 23, 2005 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie with Rev. Geoff Scott officiating. Burial will be in Teegarden Cemetery in the Town of Lucas, Dunn Co., at a later date. Family and friends are welcome at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.
