Elaine Krueger

Elaine H. Krueger, age 91, of Menomonie and formerly of Wheeler; died, Friday, December 17, 2010 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie.

She was born October 11, 1919 in Dunn County to Leonard and Minnie (Moe) Shaw. As a youth she attended Hawthorne Rural School. She married Maynard Krueger on Nov. 5, 1938 and they farmed all their lives, both dairy and agriculture.

Elaine was known for her "hard work" and farming was a joint effort. She always had a garden and it produced food to put on the table. She was very involved in Our Saviors Lutheran Church activities over the years. Elaine had a great sense of humor. After moving to The American Lutheran Home she loved to have her meals closest to the terrace and with the view outside.

She is survived by her 3 children, Corrine (Joe) Boda of Boyceville, Leonard of Boyceville and Lowell "Pete" (Mary) of Wheeler; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Maynard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Maynard (Dec. 30, 1981); and her siblings, Myrtle, Hilman, Lenore, Marvel, Ruth, Violet, Gilman and Joyce.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Wheeler, WI. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
