Galen E. Manske

Galen E. Manske, age 82, of Menomonie, WI died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie, surrounded by family and with hospice.

He was born March 21, 1924 in the Town of Spring Brook, Dunn Co., WI to William and Mabel (Whinnery) Manske. He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie, where he was a lifelong member.

Galen married Gwen Kohnke on Sept. 20, 1947 at the Peace Lutheran parsonage in Menomonie. Together they farmed in the Town of Dunn for many years.

Farming and family were Galen's passions, and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A granddaughter, Sara
And other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Calla.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Dave Whelan and Pastor Kathryn Larson officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday and an hour prior to the service on Thursday.
