Glenn L. Vierling

Glenn L. Vierling, age 77, of Boyceville, WI passed away peacefully, on Friday, August 30, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born September 13, 1946, in St. Paul, MN to Wilmer and Virgina (Marsden) Vierling. He grew up in the in a large household with nine other siblings and graduated from Hill High School in 1964. After high school he attended Mt. Scenario College. He served in the Merchant Marines.

In 1977, he met his loving wife Dianne. They were married one year later on October 27, 1978 in St. Paul, MN. They had two children Justin and Jason. Glenn and Dianne raised their family in Inver Grove Heights, Egan, and Cottage Grove, MN. Glenn began driving city bus in 1969 for Twin City Lines, now known as Metro Transit. He served 41 years with the company, retiring in 2019.

During his free time he enjoyed playing golf, collecting coins, and raising his family. Later in life, Glenn enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons, Edsel and Lincoln.

Everyone who knew Glenn loved him. He was kindhearted, hardworking, and generous.

Glenn is survived by his wife Dianne of 45 years; two sons Justin and Jason; daughter-in-law Heather; two grandsons Edsel and Lincoln; and mother-in-law, Donine Leatherby. He is further survived by his siblings Joan Alfers, Anita Neinstadt, Lynn Haws, Therese and Rick Russell, and Dale and Linda Vierling.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and Virgina Vierling and his siblings Dean, Keith, and Carol.
