Harold Lockwood

Harold S. Lockwood, age 85 of Menomonie, WI died, Monday, July 25, 2011 at Dunn County Healthcare Center in Menomonie.

He was born December 27, 1925 in Dunn County, WI to Elmer & Laura Mae (Dales) Lockwood. He was raised in Dunn County and married Mary Lou Link on November 20, 1948 in Connorsville, WI, at Grace Lutheran Church.

Harold worked for many local farmers in the Dunn County area all his life, doing various tasks. He enjoyed going to auctions, always in search of a great bargain. Harold also liked to go out to the potato fields to grab any spuds that may have been left behind from the harvester. He will be sadly missed by all.

Harold is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou of 62 years
4 Sons; Mike (Sandy) Lockwood, Duane Lockwood all of Menomonie,
Robert Lockwood (Cindy) Wheeler, Phil (Judy) Lockwood of Colfax.
A daughter; Shirley (Noel) Larson of Fall Creek
10 grandchildren
11 great-grandchildren
A brother; Lloyd (Irene) Lockwood of California
Sister-in-law; Florence Lockwood of California.
Also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Funerals services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boyceville, with Pastor Paul Carlson officiating. Burial will take place in Sherman Cemetery, Twp. of Sherman, Dunn Co. There will be a visitation Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, (with a time of sharing taking place at 6:30) and also 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
