Irvin E. Lehman, Jr. Obituary (1955

Irvin E. Lehman Jr., age 56, was found passed away in his beloved lake home in Lindstrom, Minnesota on July 19th, 2012. He was born on August 24th, 1955 in Menomonie, Wisconsin, to Irvin and Patricia (Stoeklen) Lehman. He married Susanne Danielson on August 2nd, 1975 (divorced 1994) with whom he fathered his only child (Matthew) on September 26th, 1980. While he grew up in Menomonie, he lived most of his adult life in the Twin Cities. In 1996, he met his significant other of 16 years, Sherry Boog. He came from a long line of carpenters, learned the trade from his father, and became highly skilled. He was the superintendent/foreman for a commercial construction company for 25 years and built stores in all of the lower 48 states and Canada – including American Eagles. He also served in the U.S. Navy. Irv had a witty sense of humor and was very social - he loved to be surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed spending time at his lake home where he would host get-togethers and fish. Even after he retired, he enjoyed helping people with projects and working with his hands and building things – he tried to be there for everyone. He loved his brothers and treasured the time they spent working on their cars together. He liked to give advice and teach others what he knew. He was kind, caring and lived life how he wanted – to the fullest. He was modest and valued people the most. Irv is survived by mother, Pat; son, Matt (Kari) with a grandchild on the way; brothers, Darrin (Tonya) and Kevin; significant other, Sherry Boog; 3 step-children, Jeff Siler, Kris Brion, and Becky Bryant; 7 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Irvin Sr.; brothers, Brian and Steven; and nephew, Darrin Jr. A loving father, who was excited to have his first grandchild, now rests peacefully – taken before his time, but now with those he loved and missed dearly. A memorial service will take place at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie on Saturday July 28th, 2012, with Pastor Steve Carlson officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2pm, the service at 2pm, and a social hour will follow.
