JANET L. LEACH \n \n Janet L. Leach, age 84, of Menomonie, WI, died on Thanksgiving, Nov. 25, 2010, at the Dunn County Health Care Center. This was a place she loved, although she was there only a short time, she worked there for 10 years. Her mother lived there for 10 years. \n \n Janet was born in Menomonie on March 17, 1926, the daughter of Otto and Ida Graske) Boetcher. She graduated from Menomonie High School with the Class of 1944. Janet married William Sipple on June 17, 1944. She began farming with Bill on the Fall City Prairie and she also worked at Fabri-Tek. After Bill died in 1968, she married Darold Leach, on Nov. 17, 1975 and then started working for the Dunn County Health Care Center. \n \n Janet was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Menomonie. She also enjoyed being a 4-H Leader. After retirement she enjoyed being on the Town of Red Cedar Board, especially collecting taxes with Jerry Millar. Janet loved Her Packers and in the past had enjoyed bowling. \n \n Janet is survived by: \n Her daughter Clara (Chuck) Sletner of Altoona and her son Larry Sipple of Menomonie \n Step-children, Eugene (Betty) Leach, Richard (Bev) Leach, Joan (Jim) Deutsch and David Leach all of Menomonie \n Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren from her marriage to Darold and their families. \n Her sister Margaret Gratz of Eau Claire \n Brothers, John Boetcher of Altoona, Rev. Kenneth (Lynn) Boetcher of Seattle, WA and Donald (Carol) Boettcher of Waterford, WI \n Sisters-in-law, Florence Gebhart and Gertie Boettcher of Menomonie \n She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many members of Darold's family. \n \n She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Bill Sipple (1968) and Darold Leach (1992), her brothers Eugene Boettcher, Bert (Sarah) Boetcher and Marvin (Marg) Boetcher, brother-in-law Virgil Gratz, sister-in-law, Mary Boetcher and other members of Bill and Darold's families. \n \n Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Brett Voigt officiating. Burial will be in Iron Creek Cemetery in the Twp. of Spring Brook, Dunn Co., WI. Visitation will be at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. \n \n Memorials to honor Janet may be given to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Menomonie Building Fund.
