Janice E. Miller Obituary (1931 - 2023)

Janice E. Miller age 92, of Menomonie, WI passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Our House Senior Living in Menomonie, WI. She was born on February 14, 1931 to Elbert and Winnie (Fisher) Trainor in Menomonie, WI. She grew up on the family farm in the Town of Lucas, west of Menomonie. She graduated from Dunn County Aggie in 1949. Janice married Lester Miller on June 29, 1949 at the Peace Lutheran Parsonage in Menomonie. Together they had three children. Janice later joined the United Methodist Church in Menomonie. She retired from 3M in Menomonie in 1996. In her free time, Janice enjoyed traveling, fishing, and most of all spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Janice is survived by her three children Diane (Steve) Howe, Robert Miller, and Julie (Bob) Bowell; grandchildren Kari (Jose) Velasco, Tonya (Darrin) Lehman, Kraig Howe (Sarah Olson), Kristofer Howe, Andrew and Garret Miller; great grandchildren Shannon (Curtis), Leighann (Adam), Brianna (Matt), Christopher, Carter, Beckham; great great granddaughters Afton and Adaleigh. She is further survived by her sisters Rosemary Christianson and Kathleen Trinko; sisters-in-law Gerry Miller, Sue Miller, Carol Saxton, and Frances “Jo” Trainor; brother-in-law John Miller and many nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Les Miller, great grandson Darrin Jr., great great granddaughter Aspen Rose; siblings Lucille (Clarence) Werner, Robert (Mary) Trainor, John (Betty) Trainor, Merle (John) Schultz, William (Lorraine) Trainor, Thomas Trainor, Gilbert Christianson, and Bruce Trinko. She is further preceded by many other brothers and sisters-in-law. Thank you to Our House Senior Living and the St Croix hospice staff for the wonderful care they provided to Janice. Mom loved you all. A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in the town of Stanton, Dunn County, WI. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
