Joan M. Buss, age 91 of Menomonie, passed away Sunday, May 06, 2018 at Comforts of Home in Menomonie under hospice care. \n \n Joan was born on January 19, 1927 in Spring Valley, WI to Fred and Mabel (Timm) Clements. After graduating from Spring Valley High School, she married Howard Buss. She worked for Parker Pen until Joan and Howard purchased the Blue Diamond Club from her parent’s. More recently, she worked for West Cap as a social worker until her retirement. \n \n Joan enjoyed bowling, gardening and baking. She was known for many family favorite recipes which are still prepared at family gatherings. She also like to knit and crochet. \n \n Joan is survived by her son Dave (Gloria) Buss, grandchildren Sheri (Steve) Schutte, Amy (Clint) Peterson and Eric Buss; great grandchildren Kristy and Madison Schutte, Chace, Braden and Jaylen Peterson; brother James (Joann) Clements; sister-in-law Jerene Clements; daughter-in-law Jacqueline Buss; she is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. \n \n She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, son Randy, granddaughter Traci Buss and brother Don Clements. \n \n Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Bob Friese officiating. Burial will take place at Tramway Cemetery, Township of Menomonie, Dunn County. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. \n \n In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to Tramway Cemetery. \n \n A special thank you to Comforts of Home, Dr. Carrie Nelson and hospice for their care and compassion.
