JoAnn R. Wegenke Obituary (1944 - 2023)

JoAnn Wegenke age 78, of Menomonie, WI passed away May 13, 2023 at her home. She was born July 25, 1944 to Bertram and Ruth (Michelbook) Jordan. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Mankato State college in 1967 and later graduated from the American Dietefic Association in 1970. JoAnn married Warren Wegenke and they settled in Eau Claire, WI. Together they had three children and then moved back to Menomonie in 1999. She enjoyed travelling and meeting new friends. JoAnn also loved going to concerts, music festivals, and horse shows. JoAnn is survived by her children Lee (Erica) Salkin, Matthew Wegenke and Kari Wegenke; grandchildren; and brothers Ron (Jan) Jordan and Glenn (Rhonda) Jordan. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and friends from all over the country. She was preceded in death by her parents Bertram and Ruth, husband Warren, and brother Bert. JoAnn requested that there be no funeral service and instead requests her friends and family to go do something fun and enjoy the day in her honor. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
