Jodi A. Giroux

Jodi A. Giroux, age 52, of Colfax, WI, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Dove West in Eau Claire, WI after a battle with aggressive cancer. She was born on May 11, 1971, in Rochester, NY to parents Roland and Sharon (Moran) Giroux.
She graduated from Menomonie High School in 1989 and went on to study Veterinary Technology at UW-River Falls. After working as a vet tech for years, Jodi discovered she had a passion for cooking and attended culinary school in Minnesota. Jodi founded her own business, “Jodi’s Culinary Services,” and was eager to support others when they created their own personal businesses. Local friends and family were blessed with her yearly delivery of homemade Christmas cookies to their homes. She closed out her career by working as an independent associate for Legal Shield and was passionate about protecting others from identity theft. Jodi shared her endearing smile with others through her consistent involvement in Bible studies, networking events and many travels to the east coast and Door County with her precious mother.
Although Jodi never married on this side of heaven, she was excited to be at peace with her bridegroom in heaven when she would meet Jesus. While on earth, Jodi was an ambassador for Pink Box Purpose and enjoyed leading Toastmasters. She was active in a discipleship training program, and excited about where God would take her in that ministry.
Jodi is survived by her mother, (Sharon), her brother, (Glen,) aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course, their beloved Shih Tzu, American. Her father is deceased.
Jodi often said, “people change so that you can learn to let them go, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
When you genuinely want to know the heart and mind of others, you become someone tough to forget. If you were blessed in this life to have met Jodi, your life was impacted, and you immediately noticed her selfless heart. The joke “Jodi knows everybody” was said at many events, and she would just smile back, and nod with acknowledgment. And, Jodi Giroux, none of us will ever forget.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Kevin Schippers officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Friends are welcome to stay for the service.
In lieu of flowers, Jodi’s family requests donations be made to MOT Foundation, Inc. (indicating “Retreat Center”). Jodi had a vision and a goal of creating a retreat center for women and couples. We plan to honor her dream and bring it to life.
