John "Joe" Foster

John "Joe" J. Foster, age 66, of Menomonie, WI passed away quietly at his home on Monday, June 23, 2014 in Menomonie after a disabling disease struck him.

Joe was born in Connersville, IN to H.C. and Phyllis (Dudley) Foster on October 27, 1947. He and his family moved to Lake City, MN when Joe was in seventh grade. He graduated from Lake City, MN High School in 1966. After joining the Marine Corp, he served four years active mostly in California. He attended Spartan School Of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While in school he married Elizabeth Beyer in 1971 in Fox Lake, WI.

Joe retired from Foundry Sales. In 2010 he and Beth spent the next three years living their dream of being full-time RVers.

He is survived by his wife, Beth of Menomonie, WI; one daughter, Jenna Hope (Ben) Stashek of Altoona, WI and one son Charles Alex Foster of Encounter Bay, South Australia; one brother, Frank C. (Sharon) Foster of Kingwood, TX; two sisters, Mary Janet (Don) Andorfer of Fort Wayne, IN and Connie (Al) Johnson of Sun Prairie, WI; grandchildren, foster grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, H.C. and Phyllis (Dudley) Foster.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. An informal sharing of memories will start at 12:30 p.m. and go until service time at the funeral home.
