Joyce Loraine (Harnisch) Holzhueter passed away on Monday, September 17, 2012. \n \n Joyce was born October 11, 1952 to Louis and Marion (Schaefer) Harnisch in Menomonie. She graduated from Menomonie High School in 1970. \n \n She worked for Wisconsin Dairy Herd Improvement Cooperative for 15 years and later was employed by 3M in Menomonie as a Production Group Leader in Manufacturing. \n \n Joyce married Roger R. Berg in 1974. They farmed in the Bloomer area during that time. They had three children, Dawn, Michael and Heidi. Roger and Joyce later divorced. \n \n Joyce was a 4-H member in her earlier years and attributed her success in life to many things learned during those years. She received many personal awards in and out of 4-H. When Joyce's children were young, Joyce was instrumental in organizing the 22er's 4-H Club and was the General Leader of that club, leading them to be an award winning club in the Dunn County Area. Her musical abilities helped her 4-H group earn many trips to the Wisconsin State Fair. \n \n Joyce married Douglas A. Holzhueter on September 17, 2000. They had a wonderful life together and had fun attending many sporting events of the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Indy 500 and the Milwaukee Brewers. They took trips to Las Vegas, Arizona, San Francisco and Alaska. They had planned on many more in future years but Joyce always said, "You don't know what hand you will be dealt and I have had a lot of wonderful ones." That is a wonderful quote for Joyce because she loved playing cards. She always had time to sit down for a few minutes and say, "Deal 'em out". She always had time for friends and time for her family, especially her grandchildren who made her life worth living and kept her trying to fight until the very end. \n \n Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Marion Harnisch, Paternal Grandparents, Charles and Alvina Harnisch, Maternal Grandparents, Edwin and Alice Schaefer and nephews Dennis Bryan and Dakota Harnisch. \n \n Joyce is survived by her husband Douglas, her daughter Dawn (Jake) Utphall, grandchildren Hannah and Caden of Menomonie, her son Michael (Jennifer) Berg of Bloomer, and daughter Heidi (Ryan) Stair of Onalaska, She is also survived by her sister Arleen (Ron) Bryan of Sturgeon Bay, two brothers: Lloyd (Ruthann) Harnisch and DeWayne (Darlene) Harnisch both of Menomonie and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
