Joyce E. Markey

Joyce Markey died unexpectedly at home on June 23, 2017, she was 56.

"Grief is the last act of great love we have to give to those we loved. Where there is deep grief, there was great love." Joyce had a gift to never take anything too seriously. Her heart was open and she was at her best when she was able to nurture - from family members to any stray cat that needed a home. Despite hardships and troubles, her family will choose to celebrate the memories of when she was happiest, singing along to her favorite songs or playing Yahtzee with her husband.

She was joined in heaven just 6 days later by the hardest working and most dedicated husband, John. She is survived by two daughters, two brothers, and her father and stepmother. They will strive to help her best qualities live on. The family takes comfort knowing that though her body was weak in life, she will become strong and walk again in heaven at the side of God, and with her husband.

A celebration of life ceremony for both Joyce and John will be held Wednesday, July 26th from 3-7pm at Arkansaw Community Center N6223 County Road N
