Katherine R. "Kathy" (Knutson) Wuorenma Obituary (1959 - 2010)

KATHERINE R. KNUTSON-WUORENMA Katherine "Kathy" R. Knutson-Wuorenma, age 50 of Wheeler, WI; died, Sunday, June 6, 2010 at her home with her family by her side after battling cancer. Kathy was born August 31, 1959 in Menomonie, WI to Ervin and Mavis (Fawcett) Knutson. Kathy was a hardworking selfless person who had worked at Clopay Building Products of Baldwin for many years and then for Federal Foam Technologies of New Richmond and in both companies worked her way up the ranks to "Group Lead." Her experiences with Federal Foam Technologies was very positive as they were like Kathy; "Generous, Kind, Caring, Loving and Personal." The friendships she acquired while there were extremely important to her and very real. Kathy loved dancing to "modern" or classic rock music. She enjoyed doing puzzle books, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, "alone time with her life partner, Keith" and time with her family. She is survived by her life partner, Keith Tainter of Wheeler; three children, Jimmy (Jolene) of Andover, MN, Aleasha (Christopher) Wruck of Boyceville and Andy of Connorsville; 6 grandchildren, Seth, Logan, Alexcis, Kole, Lucian and James Dominic (on the way); four sisters, Carroll Walther of Rice Lake, Roxanne Knutson of Connorsville, Clara (Bob) Clark of Wheeler and Pauline (Dale) Bents of Barron; one brother, Doug (Candi) Slagel of Ridgeland; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by her grandparents Harry and Alice Fawcett, parents and one brother, Donnie Dodge. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. Friends may come or call from 4-7 P.M. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Cedar Falls Cemetery. The Olson Funeral Home is serving the family. Lakeview Floral and Gifts will be handling the floral arrangements.
