Lorraine Mae Schutt

Lorraine M. Schutt, age 85, of Menomonie, WI died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at The Neighbors Of Dunn County, Menomonie, WI.

Lorraine was born May 18, 1929 in Menomonie, WI to Arthur and Bernice (Wilcox) Behling. She attended Boyceville School District and at the age of 60 got her Graduate/GED diploma, which she was so proud of. She was a homemaker and raised her family, but also was a Home Daycare Provider, caring for the youth of the area, and in later years cared for the elderly in their homes, and worked at the hospital. Lorraine loved children and if they wanted to "make her up and put wigs on her", she was very acceptable to it. "What a Grandma!!" She loved her yearly visit to Colorado, to visit her friend and sister-in-law Lois. Her pet dog Chrissy "Christmas Snow", was given to her for Christmas and was very special to her.

Lorraine is survived by her Loving Companion, Wayne Schutt of Menomonie; four daughters, Cheryl (Dean Cotts) Grimme-Salinas of Menomonie, Marlana (Mark) Risler of Elk Mound, Rachelle Davis of Eau Claire and Lizabeth (John Conlin) Schutt of Eau Claire; three sons, John (Deana Schroeder) Schutt of Menomonie, Jeffrey (Jodi) Schutt of Wheeler and Robon (Tina) Schutt of Menomonie; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren (and one on the way);brothers and sisters, Lyle Behling, Edgar (Sharon) Behling, Norma (Roger) Schutt, and Barbara Hammons; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bernice (Wilcox) Behling; one premature daughter, who would have been named Tina Louise Schutt; one grand-daughter, Kelsey Rothamer; two brothers, Ralph and Manvel Behling; and one sister, Betty Hoyt.

She was always a happy person and loved to make people to smile. She loved gardening and crocheting. Her vegetables, berries and flower gardens were her pride and joy.

A Memorial Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Geoff Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service. A time of fellowship will follow the service and burial will take place at Teegarden Cemetery, in the Town of Lucas, Dunn County, WI.
