Margaret "Marge" Storing

Margaret "Marge" L. Storing, age 86, of Menomonie, WI passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at home, with her family by her side, after suffering a stroke on Monday, January 13, 2014. Mayo Home Health & Hospice assisted the family.

Marge was born on April 18, 1927 in the Town of Red Cedar, Dunn County, Wisconsin to William "Bill" and Margaret (Cook) Scharlau.

On June 21, 1946, Marge married David Storing and later divorced.

Marge retired from 3M after many years of service.

Marge's interests included bird watching, tending her plants, crocheting and working jigsaw puzzles daily. She was a world traveler and had seen many different countries.

Marge is survived by her son John (Sandy) Storing, her daughter Patricia (Keith) Bembenek; grandchildren, Stacey (Scott) Stangel, Charlie (Janet) Storing, Lee (Holly) Bembenek and Alicia Bembenek (friend Jason Scott); great-grandchildren, Kaileigh and Jevin Stangel, Jonathan and Jenna Storing; and her sisters, Helen Ranney and Dorothy (Orvil) Wilsey; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mildred, MaryAnn and Marlys Scharlau; and her son Michael in 2003.

In honor of Marge's request there will be no services. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
