Marlene Mary Nelson 77, passed away Tuesday December 5, 2017 at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Menomonie. \n Marlene was born on July 31st, 1940 to Orrie and Margaret Hornstein in Brownsville, MN and grew up in the MN area before moving to WI where she went to school. \n She worked for many years but retired from the nursing facility in Siren WI as a dietician. \n Marlene married James Titel in June of 1956 they lived in MN, WI, Escondido, CA then back to WI. Marlene and Jim had four children, Terri Jimmy, Janine and Mark. They were divorced. Marlene met and married Ernest Morse in 1972 and a son Kelly Morse was born. Ernie had six children which Marlene adored, and they became a family. They were divorced, and Marlene had two sons and moved to Siren WI where she worked at cleaning cabins and then met Scott Nelson and they married. After the death of Scott, Marlene worked as a kitchen dietician till she retired. Then Marlene moved to Boyceville, WI then to Wheeler, WI after which she moved in with son Kelly. She was then in Country Terrace Assisted Living till the time of her death. \n Marlene loved flowers and birds. She also liked to fish whenever she could and travel. She loved her children. She got to see them married, she got to see her grandchildren born but most of all she was there when her daughter Janine passed away. Marlene loved life and her family the most. Her hobbies were knitting and tacking. She always loved to listen to her favorite singer Elvis and she loved country music. \n Marlene is survived by her daughter Terri Lemon, sons Mark Titel, Jimmy Titel, Kelly Morse (Val); three siblings Helen Titel, Floyd Hornstein and Melba Daily; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. \n She was preceded in death by her parents Orrie and Margaret Hornstein; a daughter Janine Keith; siblings Gloria Jacobson and Richard Hornstein; great grandchild Jeremy Lemon and Adian; grandson-in-law Federico Hernandez; ex-husband Ernie Morse and husband Scott Nelson. \n A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Craig Conklin officiating. There will be visitation from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Siren, WI at a later date.
