Mary J. Orfgen, age 69, of Downsville, WI passed away Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire. \n \n Mary was born April 1, 1944 in Menomonie to Elmer and Florence (Cockeram) Olson. She graduated from Menomonie High School. On December 16, 1961 she married Donald Orfgen at Little Elk Creek Lutheran Church. \n \n Mary was a life-long resident of Menomonie and a member of Little Elk Creek Lutheran Church, where she worked as secretary for many years. She was also a very active member with the Women of the Moose for many years. Mary enjoyed riding motorcycle with her husband; always willing to go wherever he chose to venture. Mary also enjoyed traveling with her daughter. They took a couple trips to Alaska; one of them was on a cruise. They went to California wine country and also Hawaii. Her family was very important to her and will be sadly missed by all. \n \n Mary is survived by her daughter, Sandra Orfgen (Paul McNeill) \n Sisters; Bev (Gerald) Kistner, Marlys (Dave) Aspen, Marilyn (Jon) Mars and Alice Sather \n Sisters-in-law; Jane Orfgen, Ardis (Levi Joy) Teegarden and Irene Robinson \n She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. \n \n She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, a son Timothy Jon, brothers-in-law; Ronald Sather, Lynn Orfgen and Bob Robinson. \n \n Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at Little Elk Creek Lutheran Church in the Town of Red Cedar, Dunn Co. WI with Pastor Dale Moe officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery in the Town of Tiffany, Dunn Co. WI. There will be visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
