Mary Lou Rice, age 56, of Knapp, WI; died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, WI. \n \n She was born May 15, 1954 in Menomonie, WI to Gilbert and Vivian (Timm) Rice. She was a graduate of Menomonie High School and worked for McMillian Electric in Woodville, WI and also for Vital Plastics in Baldwin, WI starting both jobs in about 1997 and working until her death. \n \n Mary Lou enjoyed playing with her daughter's beagle, Lucky, and earlier in her life she was an enthusiastic snowmobiler and still belongs to The Knapp Valley Riders Snowmobile Club. She was a dedicated and loving football fan of the Minnesota Vikings and made sure everyone knew it. As much as she enjoyed life; her daughter, Heather, was the most important and joy in her life. She loved her dearly. \n \n Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Heather (fiance'-Mike Hedlund) Rice of Menomonie; parents, Gilbert and Vivian Rice of Knapp; 1 sister, Lorilie (John) Steinke of Eau Claire; 3 nieces, Morgan and Margo Steinke and Bailey Rice; other relatives and many friends. \n \n She is preceded in death by her brother, Bruce. \n \n Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Dave Whelan officiating. \n \n Friends may call Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and also 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service at The Forest Hill Cemetery in the Town Of Stanton, Dunn County, WI.
