Michael A. Fisher

Michael Allen Fisher, age 63, of Menomonie, WI passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire.

He was born on August 5th, 1952 in Menomonie, WI to Allen and Delores Fisher, who taught him that family was everything. Mike was a husband, father, son, brother, coach and a Vietnam veteran. He was also loving, compassionate and devoted to his family and friends. He touched so many people’s lives during his short life and will be greatly missed.

Mike is survived by his wife, Kathy of Menomonie, his daughter, Christine Fisher (Andy) of Duluth, MN, and his three sons, Matthew Fisher(Kasey), Wyatt Fisher (Nicole), and Adam Fisher (Emily), all of Menomonie. He was a proud grandfather of eight grandchildren, Nyla, Ellie, Lexi, Thomas, Caleb, Hadley, Kinsley, and Kalyn, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Cindy Redmond(Cary) of Portland, OR, his three brothers, Bill Fisher(Julie) of Boyceville, WI, Daniel Fisher(Nita) of Van Couver, WA, and Joseph Fisher(Kiley) of Baldwin, WI.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Delores Fisher, his maternal grandparents, Edward and Lillian Brune, and his paternal grandparents, Louis and Olga Fisher.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Menomonie, with Rev. James Kurzynski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors by Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard. There will be visitation from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.
