Pauline B. Knutson

Pauline B. Knutson, born on August 26, 1937, she passed to her eternal home on Saturday, July 6, 2024 into the arms of her Heavenly Father under the care of the Palliative Care team at Mayo in Eau Claire

Her compassionate and giving spirit drove her to a life caring for others, from the newborns at Memorial Hospital/Myrtle Werth to caring for the elderly with House Calls; giving to others was her calling in life.

She met her husband Jim while he was in the Korean War during a stop in Massachusetts and the rest is history. He moved her from Massachusetts to Wisconsin where they began their life together and raised their family. They were married for 68 years.

She is survived by her loving husband Jim and children, Deb Knutson and her children Kayln and Eric Obry (Ethan and Ellie) and Bryn and Lewis Walker (Brielle and Lewis); Kathy and Kevin Sipple and their children Nathan and Kristy Sipple (Logan and Zoe), Allison and Tony Peterson (Dayton), Luke and Lindsey Sipple (Madelyn); Steve Knutson and feline friend Liesl (moms lap buddy), Michael and Annette Knutson and their children Kristin Smith (and Drew Nelson) (Tyler, Dakota, Austin, Elyse and Haylee) Brandon Smith (and Amanda Greene) (Kelsey, Shawn, Preston, Austin, Carter and Serina)

Survived by sisters Florence Dana and Terry Dionne and her brother Dick (Irene) Fournier. Sister-in-laws Eloise Knutson and Elaine Knutson along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

Mom lived a very full life surrounded by her loving husband and family which was most important to her. She never had a bad day and found good in everything! They loved their winters in Florida where they made lifetime friends.

We want to especially thank the medical team at Mayo/Eau Claire for the wonderful care she received as well as the passionate care through the Palliative Care team during her final hours with us. Also, a very special thank you to Pastor Heather for her love and healing words

We will miss her dearly but live in peace knowing she is without pain and with all her loved ones that transitioned before her.

Visitation and Service for Pauline will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Menomonie. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie, WI.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Menomonie in Memory of Pauline.
