Raymond L. Etzler Jr. Obituary (1952 - 2022)

Raymond “Randy” L. Etzler Raymond L. Etzler, age 69 of Connorsville, WI (formerly of Maryland) passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at his home. He was born December 4, 1952, in Frederick, Maryland to Raymond Sr. and Virginia (Baugher) Etzler. He grew up in Woodsboro, MD and graduated from Walkersville High School in 1970. Ray married Debbie Oates in 1985 in Walkersville, MD. Together they shared three children. He was a proud Marine, and he loved his country dearly. In his career he drove truck from the time he was 17 until his retirement. He team drove his truck with his wife Debbie sharing many memories and enjoying the beautiful places they were able to travel. Together Ray and Debbie rescued animals providing them a safe place to stay. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids most of all. Ray is survived by his wife Debbie; two sons Donnie Etzler (fiancé Jean Long), Chris Etzler (fiancé Valerie Ridenour); daughter Dawn Etzler; grandchildren Kory, Dustin, Maggie, Cheyenne, Austin, Gracie, Megan, Steven; great grandchildren Casey, Avery, Greyson, Asher. He is further survived by mother-in-law Roma Oates; uncle John “Sonny” Baugher (fiancé Genevieve Porter); half-brother Ron Etzler (Denise Williamson-Etzler), brother-in-law Rick (Eliete) Oates, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond Sr. and Virginia (Baugher) Etzler, father-in-law Ronald Oates and other relatives. Time of Sharing will be at 12:00p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Boyceville, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Time of Sharing. Burial will take place in New Haven Cemetery in town of New Haven, Dunn County, WI with military honors performed by Connorsville Amvets Post 72. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI is serving the family.
