Richard D. Crosby \n \n Richard Dwight Crosby, age 61, of Colfax, WI, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in Waukesha, WI surrounded by family. \n Richard was born on September 16, 1954 in Eau Claire, WI to Dwight and Joan (Lunn) Crosby. He graduated from Boyceville High School in 1972 and attended college at the University of Wisconsin Stout. He farmed with his dad on the family farm for several years. After the farm was sold he drove truck for various companies. \n In his younger years Rich bowled on a league, he also enjoyed playing pool, golfing and fishing. He was an avid reader and was always looking for a “good deal” even though it wasn’t anything that he needed. Rich was known for his paper roses that he made for people wherever he went. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. \n Rich is survived by his mother Joan, two sisters, Mary (Alan) Peterson of Ridgeland and Rose (Charles) Mueller of Colfax; nephew Chad (Jodi) Peterson, nieces, Bethany Peterson and Heidi (Travis) Ovsak; four great nieces, five great nephews and one great-great niece as well as other relatives and friends. \n He was preceded in death by his father Dwight in 2003. \n Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. There will be visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later date at Sherman Cemetery in the Town of Sherman, Dunn County. \n \n Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
