Robert “Louie” Louis Fleury, age 75, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Monday, September 18, 2023 at his home in Downsville, WI. \n \n Louie was born September 30, 1947 in Madison, WI to Robert and Arabelle Fleury. He grew up with an older brother Tom, and younger sister Suzy. He graduated in 1965 from Edgewood Catholic High School in Madison, Wisconsin. \n \n Despite never being married, Louie always giggled when he called his 1969 Camaro his ‘younger girlfriend’ or his “Sweet Bitch”, which was painted on the spoiler of his car. He was proud to say she was a 10 second car, but legally she was an 11 second car. He loved racing at Rock Falls Raceway with his friends Big Block Shawn, Mike Hotchkiss and John Becker, and hardly missed a Sunday phone call with his good friend Mike Ball. He often started his phone calls with his daughter Marci, "How's my favorite daughter?!" and always ending the call with "It's not good bye, it's see you sooner." \n \n Louie is survived by his only daughter Marci Frerichs of Bolingbrook, IL. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Marcia Fleury of Madison, WI; brother-in-law Doug Warrick of Lafayette, CA; nieces Trisha Vogel of Las Vegas, NV, Tomilyn Fleury Buxton of Madison, WI; Ali Stefanik of Sacramento, CA; and nephew Tyler Fleury of Madison, WI. \n \n He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Arabelle Fleury; brother Thomas Fleury; sister Suzanne Warrick; paternal Grandparents Louis and Marcia Fleury; and maternal Grandparents George and Alma Thiessen. \n \n A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Cubby’s Bar in Downsville, WI at 5:00 p.m., which was also his birthday. To share any photos or memories you may have of him, please email his daughter Marci Frerichs at firstname.lastname@example.org. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI is serving the family.
