Robert “Bob” A. Lorenz

Robert “Bob” A. Lorenz passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, at Glenhaven, in Glenwood City, WI with his wife Linda by his side.

Bob was born March 31, 1942, to Clarence and Nina (Losness) Lorenz in Wheeler, WI.
He graduated from Boyceville High School in 1960 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961–1965 as an Airman 1st Class Personnel Equipment Specialist.

He married the love of his life, Linda Zebro, on June 15, 1968.

He worked at various dealerships in Menomonie as a parts manager and for 3M from 1990–2008. After retirement, he worked part time at Johnson Motors of Menomonie, driving vehicles until the present.

Bob enjoyed life to the fullest. He liked going for drives in the countryside, visiting favorite restaurants, and supporting his favorite sports teams: the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Badgers, NASCAR, and golf. He had many hobbies and enjoyed the challenge of fixing just about anything. He also liked to hunt, fish, and cook. Through his various travels, he always enjoyed meeting new people and having conversations. He was a great George Jones music fan. He and his wife were each other’s best friends, and he will be deeply and sadly missed by his wife.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, and his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Nina Lorenz; and his brother, Donald.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Celebrant Teresa Pejsa officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00–6:00 p.m. prior to the service. A meal will follow the service, also at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at a later date at Hay River TWP. Cemetery, with Military Honors performed by the Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard.
