Sandra Lee Lockwood (Shervey), age 73, passed away peacefully in comfort care on Nov. 16th, 2021. \n \n She was born on Nov. 26th, 1947, in Eau Claire, WI to Al and Harriet (Decker) Shervey. She grew up in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School. \n \n Family was everything to Sandi. She is a much-loved sister to five siblings, mom to two children, a “super cool granny chic” to five grandchildren, and has many nieces, nephews, etc. Many wonderful family gatherings were enjoyed at the Tainter Lake home she shared with husband Mike Lockwood (deceased). \n \n She was a gifted fiber artist who enjoyed quilting, tatting, counted cross stitch, and much more. Put any fiber in her hands and she’d make something beautiful! She enjoyed drawing as well, particularly with charcoal. In her retirement years, quilting became her big passion. She loved the process of picking patterns and fabrics at Ellie’s in Chetek, then spending time in her sewing room, and finally, seeing the joy on the face of those she often gave them to. She was very generous with her talents. \n \n Sandi also loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers, gardening, bird watching, trips “out west”, and spoiling her dogs. She had a real soft spot for kids and dogs, all animals really. She was known to support charities that helped animals and children. \n \n She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest In Peace. \n \n There will be a Celebration of Life for Sandra at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at B & B Weston Bar and Grill with Teresa Pejsa officiating. A private graveside service will be held in Lower Weston Cemetery in the Town of Weston, Dunn Co. WI. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI is serving the family.
