Scott Charles Coen of St. Paul, MN, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 15, 2013 at his home. \n \n He was born on December 29, 1971. Scott grew up in Elk Mound and graduated from Elk Mound High School. He then went onto graduate from Chippewa Valley Technical College with a degree in the culinary arts. Scott was an incredibly kind soul and touched the heart of everyone he met. Scott loved to travel and traveled to many places. He easily made friends wherever he traveled. \n \n Scott loved cooking, art, music and spending time with the people he loved. Everywhere he went he made a difference in the lives he came in contact with. His sense of humor, his infectious laugh, and stunning personality will be missed by all. Scott loved his dog Iggy, who was a constant companion in his life. \n \n Scott is survived by his mother Lona Coen, his brother Shawn Coen, his sister Shannon Coen, his niece Rhiannon Coen-Johnson, and many other relatives and friends. \n \n He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Sr. and Gladys Coen and Willis and Elsie TenEyck. \n \n Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Paul Pillman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at a later date in Hay River Lutheran Cemetery, Twp. of Hay River, Dunn County, WI. \n \n Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
