Shelby J. Bauer Obituary (1937 - 2023)

Shelby J. Bauer, age 86 passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at Glenhaven Nursing Home in Glenwood City, WI. She was born on June 6, 1937 in Knapp, WI and was raised on the family farm near Boyceville. She graduated from Boyceville High School in 1955. In 1957 she met Charles and married him soon after. They moved to Cottage Grove, MN and raised four children together. Shelby enjoyed many activities: She loved to travel, gardening, crocheting, knitting, playing card games, walking, and most of all baking goodies for her many friends. She also enjoyed her many vacations to the North Shore. Shelby was active in Order of the Eastern Star in St. Paul Park, MN and Clear Lake. She was also a loyal member of the Methodist Church since childhood. Shelby is survived by her children Dale (Roxanne), and Wesley; grandchild Hollie Bauer and sister Audrey Ludovico and Gwen Baxter. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her children Yvonne and Gordon, mother Dora, father Robert Sr. and siblings Robert Jr. June and Everett. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Vicky Strupp officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
