Terry J. Steinmeyer

Terry J. Steinmeyer, age 61, of Knapp, WI passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at his home.

Terrance Joseph Steinmeyer was born Dec. 9, 1953 in Menomonie, WI to Ernest and Ocille (Bauer) Steinmeyer. He was raised in the Menomonie area and attended school in Menomonie.

Terry drove truck for many years, retiring due to health issues.

On April 10, 1976, Terry married Denise “Tillie” Colburn at First Lutheran Church in Hersey. They had two children, Deric and Amy. They were later divorced.

Terry enjoyed deer hunting with his son Deric and helping his brother Dennis on the farm.

Terry is survived by his two children, Deric (Danielle) Steinmeyer and Amy (Matt) Foss; a grandson, Cole Steinmeyer; his mother, Ocille Steinmeyer; three brothers, Roger (Nancy), Lamont (Cindy), Dennis (Kelly); a sister, Shery (Howie) Clark; sister-in-law, Dawn Steinmeyer; mother-in-law, Betty Colburn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Steinmeyer; brother, Michael Steinmeyer and father-in-law, Jack Colburn.

No formal funeral services are being held. There will be visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie.
