Thomas “Tom” Carl Retzloff, age 58, of Colfax, WI passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Menomonie, WI. \n \n He was born November 2, 1963, in Eau Claire, WI to Carl “Buck” and Karen (Wolf) Retzloff. He attended Cedar Falls Elementary, Menomonie High School and Chippewa Valley Technical School. \n \n Tom worked at Northside Motors and then became manager of B.A.’s Saloon, Tainter Lake, working with his mother and his brothers. Later he became part owner of the Retz on Main in Wheeler, WI. He always prided himself on his bartending abilities and being able to cook the best burger. Tom also worked at Walmart Distribution Center and did crop farming for several years. (His dream from the time he was seven years old was to be a farmer.) \n \n Tom married Karen Kramer in November of 1995. Three children were born to this union, CJ, Jason, and Amber. The couple later divorced, remaining good friends. \n \n Tom not only enjoyed playing sports, cards, and pool, he was also a big fan of NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. And nothing meant more to him than being able to watch his three children participate in football, basketball, volleyball and softball through grade school and high school. It was nothing for him to grab his mother, Karen, and head out for a game or tournament during that time. \n \n Tom really enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In the summer, he especially liked to invite friends over, throw something to eat on the smoker, grab a beer, jump on his floatie and spend the day floating around his pool. He was always a gracious host. In the winter you could find him out riding snowmobile with family and friends. He always had snowmobiles and ATVs for the kids and their friends to ride. \n \n One of Tom’s final acts was a gift of life through organ and tissue donation. \n \n Tom is survived by his mother, Karen J. Retzloff of Menomonie; his children, CJ (Allie) Retzloff of Menomonie, Jason Retzloff (Mackensie) of Menomonie, Amber Retzloff of Boyceville; grandchildren, Lacey, Austin and Calvin Retzloff of Menomonie; his two brothers, Steven “Hymie” Retzloff (Tina) of Menomonie and Patrick (Suzette) Retzloff of Woodville.
