Thomas Michael Rock, age 36, of Wheeler passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 30, 2017 at his home. \n \n Tom was born Sept 10, 1981 to Richard Rock and Karn (Fortney) Anderson in Menomonie. He graduated from Boyceville High School in 2000. After graduation Tom attended UW-Barron County and UW- Superior. \n \n Tom worked as a chef for Jake’s Supper Club and most recently at Stout Ale House. \n \n He was the guitarist in his band “The Last Minute Shoppers” and was passionate about music. He also enjoyed reading about history, and was always a comic. Tom will be sadly missed by all that knew him. \n \n Tom is survived by his mother Karn Anderson and father Richard Rock; brothers, Anthony Rock, Daniel Rock (Lori Rohde), Steven Rock; niece Bailey and nephew Henry; aunt Christine Anderson; as well as other relatives and friends. \n \n He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Caroline Fortney, and an uncle Thomas Fortney. \n \n Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wheeler with Pastor Eleanor McMahon officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
