Wallace R. Brunn, age 98, of Menomonie, WI passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at his home with hospice and family members. \n \n He was born June 12, 1913 in Dunn County, WI to Adolph and Lillian (Brown) Brunn. He married Irene Alice Singerhouse on Feb. 14, 1942 in Menomonie. \n \n Wallace was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church. He was a kind, gentle, quiet and talented man who was a skilled mason and carpenter. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing and driving his John Deere Gator. Most of all Wally loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wally lived life to the fullest, but doing everything in moderation led to a long and productive life. He will be sadly missed. \n \n Wally's family would like to thank Mayo Clinic Health System – Hospice and his wonderful neighbors for their care and concern during Wally's final days. \n \n Wally is survived by his children, \n Janice Knippel (LaVern Blodgett), \n Carol (Butch) Gundlach, \n Susan (Bill) Anderson \n Richard Brunn (Cathy Thibado) \n Daughter-in-law Sandy Brunn \n Eleven grandchildren \n 16 great-grandchildren \n Sisters and brothers, Elinora Wedam, Harlan (Carolyn) Brunn, Lloyd Brunn and Lucille Hovland \n He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. \n \n He was preceded in death by his wife Irene in July of 2009, sons, Randy in Feb. of 2004 and Roger in Oct. of 2009, and a sister Virgil Krogstad. \n \n Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie. There will be visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be at a later date.
