Wayne Lorenz Sr. of Boyceville, WI passed away at his home on Sunday, April 28, 2013. He will be very sadly missed by his loved ones for his enthusiasm for life. \n \n Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Tim Matthaei officiating. Burial will be in Hay River Cemetery in the Town of Hay River, Dunn Co. WI. \n \n Wayne was born in Boyceville, WI to Russell and Florence (Jacobson) Lorenz and graduated from Boyceville High School. On August 1, 1959 Wayne married Gloria Micheels. In his early years Wayne hauled milk and later operated his own excavating business as well as being a Master Plumber. \n \n Wayne loved going to auctions, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed people and spent many hours visiting with friends, neighbors and associates. He also enjoyed the time spent with his mother when they went for their Sunday breakfast. Most importantly he loved his family especially his three grandchildren. \n \n Wayne is survived by his wife, Gloria of Boyceville; daughter, Crystel (Karl) Atwood of Barron and son Wayne II (Debbie) Lorenz of Knapp; three granddaughters, Heather Witzel of Menomonie, Emma and Abby Lorenz of Knapp; special friend Jenna Fiege of Colfax; his mother, Florence Woodford of Menomonie; sisters, Alice (Bill) Evenson of Boyceville and June (Ron) Koenig of Cameron; brother-in-law Bob (Lois) Fladten of Spring Brook, WI; sisters-in-law, Hazel Trandum of Amery and Pat (Fritz) Peabody of Menomonie; an aunt, Elaine Lorenz of Glenwood City; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. \n \n He was preceded in death by his father Russell and an uncle, Cecil Lorenz.
