OUR HISTORY

Over 100 years

Olson Funeral Home has served area families with dignity and professionalism for over 100 years, spanning five generations.

Founders Carl and Clara Olson operated a funeral home in Menomonie for several years before purchasing the property where Olson Funeral Home now stands. Second generation, Richard Olson and his wife Jeanne joined them after World War II. In 1974, third generation, Richard K. Olson and his wife, Karen took over. Richard and Karen continue to be involved in the family business and have been great mentors for Ryan, Richard and Karen’s son, and his wife, Lori.

Ryan and Lori Olson became the latest owners of the family business in 2009. They are looking forward to continuing a family tradition of serving area families and providing one-of-a-kind services to fit each family’s wishes.
